The Hearthfield Dress — Black Forest brings the quiet romance of the countryside into an easy, beautifully wearable silhouette. Woven in a deep Black Forest plaid, she pairs a softly squared neckline with a fitted smocked bodice, gently puffed sleeves, and a long, flowing skirt.

The smocking creates definition through the bodice while the skirt falls freely from the waist, finished with a wide ruffled hem that gives the dress lovely movement without making her overly fussy. A tie at the back adds another subtle bit of shaping.

Our sample fit beautifully through the bodice and waist. The smocked bodice provides comfortable stretch and flexibility, while the remainder of the woven cotton garment has no stretch. The back tie offers additional waist definition, and the full skirt provides plenty of comfortable movement without relying on stretch.

Care

Machine wash cold and tumble dry low.

During our own wash test, The Hearthfield Dress laundered beautifully. The cotton retained its size, shape, plaid and overall finish through washing and drying, with only minimal steaming required afterward.
