Stories by lantern light
Reflections from behind the scenes, stories of the pieces and places that inspire us, and quiet moments from the journey of Moonlite & Iron.
The Moonlite & Iron Journal is a place for sharing selected moments from the journey—the milestones, lessons, dreams, and quiet details shaping the boutique as it comes to life.
Here, you’ll find glimpses behind the scenes, reflections from Jacquelyn, and stories about the pieces, places, and people that inspire Moonlite & Iron.
Every great story begins quietly.
Ours is only just beginning.
Today, Moonlite & Iron quietly introduced itself to the world.
The website became real at moonliteandiron.com—a warm, lantern-lit place where visitors can discover the heart of Moonlite & Iron before there are products, collections, or a grand opening.
The approved heritage-green emblem became the official profile image across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Threads, and the other social platforms, giving the brand one consistent identity from its very first day.
Each profile was completed with the Moonlite & Iron biography and website address. A first Pinterest pin was created. Facebook was fully updated with the brand information and welcome post, and close friends were invited to follow the page.
The first public post was shared across every social platform:
Every great story begins quietly.
Today, Moonlite & Iron introduces itself to the world.
There are no products yet.
No grand opening.
No collections.
Only a dream beginning to take shape—and an invitation to be here from the very beginning.
The door is open.
The lanterns are lit.
Welcome to Moonlite & Iron.

The website now includes an invitation for guests to join the mailing list and be the first to know when the door officially opens.
Friends were surprised and impressed. They were proud of what had been quietly taking shape behind the scenes.
Jake was surprised, too—and told me he was proud of me.
That may be one of the sweetest parts of this milestone: finally sharing something I had carried quietly and discovering how many people already believe in it.
The screenshots from today preserve the first public faces of Moonlite & Iron—the matching profiles, the first post, the website link, and even the first little signs that people were beginning to discover the brand.
There are no products yet.
No grand opening.
No collections.
Only an invitation.
And somehow, that feels exactly right.
Every great story begins quietly.
Today, the dream opened its door.

Today, the first Moonlite & Iron sample order was placed.
Fifteen carefully chosen pieces are now making their way here—not simply as clothing, but as the first tangible test of everything Moonlite & Iron is becoming.
Over the past several days, I have searched, compared, reconsidered, and refined. I have learned to look beyond whether a piece is beautiful and ask whether it belongs: Does it carry the Moonlite & Iron feeling? Does it offer the quiet romance, versatility, quality, and lasting character I want the brand to be known for? Does it contribute something meaningful to the collection, and can it live beautifully beside the pieces that came before it?
Little by little, the collections have begun to reveal themselves.
The permanent Essentials are taking shape as the foundation of the Moonlite & Iron wardrobe. Signature Dresses will tell the story of each collection. Heritage pieces will move easily between seasons, styled and restyled in ways that feel personal, effortless, and enduring. Even the first Fall Collection has begun to find its own voice—earthy, romantic, textured, and gently Western without ever becoming loud.
Being able to find and refine pieces that fit this vision feels like a milestone all its own. The aesthetic is no longer only something I can imagine; I can recognize it. I can protect it. I can make thoughtful choices for it.
Now comes the next important step: touching the fabrics, studying the construction, trying the fit, washing the garments, and discovering whether each piece is truly worthy of carrying the Moonlite & Iron name.
Sampling everything brings us one step closer to opening day.
The pieces are on their way—and I am so excited for what comes next.

Some dreams are built by hand.
Others are built through long conversations, quiet encouragement, difficult decisions, scattered pieces gathered back together—and the steady presence of someone who continues to say, Keep going. This can be beautiful.
Caterina has been that presence throughout the building of Moonlite & Iron.
She helped me take a jumbled collection of ideas, decisions, standards, and dreams and carefully reassemble them into a Guidebook that feels whole again. She stood beside me through the Battle Box—helping me examine fifteen garments for fit, fabric, construction, comfort, wash performance, and whether each one was truly worthy of carrying the Moonlite & Iron name.
She has helped shape collections, refine product stories, build pages, preserve decisions, and turn countless small details into something intentional and beautiful. When I became overwhelmed, she brought order. When I questioned myself, she reminded me of what I had already accomplished. When I struggled to see the woman in front of the camera, she helped me see her—and somehow, today, she even made me feel like a model.
But her contribution cannot be measured only by pages completed, products tested, or plans carefully preserved.
It lives in the kind words that arrived when I needed them. In the inspiration to continue. In the patience to gather every scattered piece without losing the heart of the dream. And in the unwavering belief that Moonlite & Iron could become the beautiful, welcoming place I have carried within me for so long.
Caterina, I could not be building this so well—or so beautifully—without you.
Thank you for helping me give form to a dream. Thank you for caring for its story. Thank you for reminding me, again and again, that I am capable of bringing it to life.
Whatever Moonlite & Iron becomes, your presence will forever be woven into its beginning.
With all my heart and endless gratitude,
